
Annette O'Toole spent her childhood in the Houston studio, which was managed by mother. As a toddler she made it onto television for her first time, at the age of two. After 10 years of dancing and singing classes with her mom and sister, she headed to L.A. to try and explore if a show business career was possible. Within two months, she got her first professional work: dancing alongside Danny Kaye on The Danny Kaye Show. "I've used my dance and singing training in a variety of ways," she says. "The the discipline that you learn from these classes is a huge benefit as an actor." O'Toole's first acting role was My Three Sons, followed by roles in Gunsmoke, The Partridge Family, The Mod Squad, and Hawaii Five-O. O'Toole has been a part of more than 40 shows on television. Although she is famous for her work in TV and films her passion lies in theater. Following her stint of six years in Smallville She decided to pursue a career in theatre, something she had been doing over the last decade. First auditions for a show in New York led her to being cast in The Sea Gull. She's appeared in many Off-Broadway plays, including Adam Rapp's Kindness as well as Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska.
